I use a router and WinXP to connect to the internet. When
I click on the network connection to disable it I receive
this message:Error Disabling Connection
It is not possible to disable the connection at this
time. This connection may be using one or more protocols
that do not support Plug and Play or it may have been
initiated by another user or the system account.

I can disable the other pc on this small home net...
Can anyone offer guidance?

Try reinstalling the drivers for that network adapter.
