I just upgraded; XP looks giid, but it transferred none of
my desktop items and included none of my previously
installed programs to the start and programs menus. All
programs are on the drive, but very few will start. I get
messages like "WP 2002 was installed incorrectly." Any
ideal how to resolve this?

Hi Jack,
You may find that they (your files) are under another profile, check =
under C:\Documents and Settings to see if there is a profile that =
carried over from the WinME installation.
As to the programs, they may run under that old profile, but will need =
to be installed under any new ones. This is due to the true user =
profiles that WinXP creates vs the shared ones created by WinME. You =
simply will need to run setup and install it to the same program folder. =
This is quite common with a lot of older software designed for Win9x =
systems.
