finding your chat files that are stored!!

HI HOW DO I GET TO MY CHAT FILES THAT ARE THE
CONVERSTIONS WITH EVERYTHING IN THEM TO DELETE THEM OFF
MY SYSTEM IN WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION. AND ALSO HOW DO YOU
GET TO THE HISTORY FILES. THANK YOU!!!

Hi Chuck,

How you delete chat files depends on the messaging program you use. Some =
do not store them at all, once closed they are gone. Others retain them =
until you clear them.

For the history files, first delete the IE cache (control panel/internet =
options/general tab/"delete files" and "clear history"). Then check your =
user profile folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\History

Also, as a side note, you will find that your chances of getting a =
useful response will be greatly increased if you turn off the capslock =
button when posting on forums. The use of it is considered to be =
SHOUTING and therefore rude. Besides, it's hard on the eyes.
