I want to download some screen-savers through earthlink
but the best ones that are free and on trial-try you have
to have direct-x. It works with xp. So what is it and how
do I get it?

You already have Direct X.
Start/Run
Type "dxdiag" ENTER
A lot of information will be available including the Direct X version.
