G'day Bill,

This works (just tried it).
Following steps are: Start, Control Panel, Folder Options,
select the View tab, tick the 'Remember each folder's view
settings' option.
This will not initially Maximise windows as the user may
prefer some folders to remain minimised (why have it
Maximised if you don't frequently use it [trivial but a
Maximised window takes up more memory]). But when you
close that folder, be it Maximized or Minimized when next
opened it will do so in your prefered choice.

What if he has shortcuts to exe files on his desktop. He said all his prgs
opened faulty. Will this folder view have an effect on direct shortcuts to
exe files from his desktop?
