copy video downloads to cd's

having downloaded several film's i can not find a way to
copy them to a cd

to save those into a cd, you burn it just the way you do for other files -
data disc.

another option would be to burn it as a vcd, where you may be able to play
it on your dvd machine if it supports the vcd format. you may need to have
a software like nero burning rom or winoncd to do this, though.
