Hi all! :-)
My first posting here, so be gentle with me!
Is it possible to set the view of one folder (let's call it "My mp3s" for
example) *and all the other folders inside it* to *list* without affecting
other folder settings?
If yes, how please?
Will further new folders created inside "My mp3s" automatically view as
*list* ?
TIA

No. You either have to customize the folders one by one or you have to
apply the setting to all folders via Tools > Folder Options.

Zulu,
Customization (for the contents of the taskpane) can be applied to a folder
and its subfolder. Since View is still independent, am not sure if this will
accomplish everything that you want or not.
Right click a folder. Select Properties. On the Customize tab, you can
select the type of customization that you want: music, a few different image
types, documents and so on. On that same page (right below the drop down
list where you select the type of customization), is a check box. Next to it
is the words "Also apply this template to all folders."
Not a perfect solution but may save you a bit of work in setting up those
folders.
