Hi! I'm wanting to buy a new computer, and i have my
choice narrowed down to two identical systems, but one
comes with XP Home...and one comes with XP Pro.
What are the comparisons of them, and which would be more
advisable to use?
I'm a general home user...non-business, but want the
better of the two.
Please advise me.
THANK YOU.

WIN XP Pro, without any doubt!!, And I wouldn't buy a PC because of the Home
or Pro difference. Just pick the PC you want and if it's new , you should
have an option to upgrade the OS to Pro (should be appx $60). If the
reseller does not offer the upgrade, I would find another reseller.

Greetings --
The two versions are identical, when it comes to stability,
functionality, and device driver and software application
compatibility, but are intended to meet different needs. One
difference not usually mentioned is that WinXP Pro allows up to 10
simultaneous inbound network connections, while WinXP Home only allows
a maximum of 5.
