Help! I am not very computer smart, but lattely my
computer has gotten very slow. I have HP and use Windows
XP. I was going into my Add & Remove Programs to try and
remove anything that I might not be using regulary, and I
found that there were 13 or 14 entries that said:
Windows HP Hotfix(sp1)(see Q309521 for more info.) Size
11.05MB. As I said there were several of these and I Do
not have a clue what they are for! I only know that they
all have the same MB (11.05) and all were last accesed on
the same day back in March. I don't want to take out
something important but I did not see these the last time
I went into this screen. I'm sure this is someting that
everyone one knows about but "Dummy Me". It just seems
that this taking alot of space and could be why i am so
slow all of a sudden. Please Help me if you can. Thanks,
Shelia

These are the updates from Microsoft installed on your computer. Do not
delete them.

Hi Shelia,
Those are hotfixes, or Windows Updates. If you remove them, then you =
will need to reinstall them. Except for Q811493 - uninstall this one as =
it may be the source of your problem. It was recently fixed and =
reposted, however if you have the older version it is known to cause =
this problem. After uninstalling, you can reinstall the newer version.

I have already uninstalled Q811493 a while ago. Is the one dated 5/28/03
the final version and the safe one?
