Start/Run type in CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2
Then clear the box that says users must enter passwords

After unchecking the box mentioned below, another box popped up with
Administrator as the user name and asking for the password. Filling it in
was the only way the box would stay clear, so I did it . (I must add that
there were two user names listed "Administrator" and "Barbara Burke" both of
which are me; the box that popped up had Administrator and I don't know any
other way as that's the only profile that shows when I boot up XP the usual
way.

Upon a restart XP hung and after 5 minutes I shut down with the switch as
nothing else would work. I had to use a boot disk and restore from an image
that I made with Ghost 2003 on another Harddrive but it worked to get me
back into XP with a password.

I'm back at square one. Any advice?

Barbara
