When I try to enter a search query in the microsoft news
group I always get this : your search returned no
results. When I tried to find out how to fix this I was
told not to use this to find out answers to different
questions,I am supposed to use a news reader, but I still
need to know the answer to my original question about the
search button, why this doesn't work anymore and then my
next question is, why is there a search button to search
for something if you aren't supposed to use this to
search with???
Thanks for any help you can give me,
Novice LC

I am not sure if this is a problem on your site. I searched the online
MSKB for "CD drive" and "WINDOWS NT" some days ago, which also turned
up with no results. Because I know that you can use a CD drive with
Windows NT either the search engine does not work well in these days
or there is a general problem with the search terms you can use.
You can try finding an answer with www.deja.com which will scan a
whole bunch of newsgroups. Or you can try to find help at Microsoft
TechNet (http://technet.microsoft.com)

try using a proper newsreader instead of Web Access. then you WILL be
able to do proper searches.
