New user and I can't access Search, Help, other functions.
Think it has something to do with user accounts:
administrator, me, guest, all users, default user. Is
there some "simple" way to get these basic actions
accessible to my user account without having to lose
everything and reinstall my XP disks? I have just started
mid-March and would hate to have to start all over from
scratch--in ill health so time is precious. I know how to
access regedit but need a very simple solution if there is
one. I even know how to use Run to find like Notepad and
change the shortcut's target and location (kind of) but I
can't do every single file in each User account! Also, I
have NOW set up Create Checkpoint but this goes back to
day one for some reason... Any help is greatly appreciated.

You may at first want to change the user account to admin status to
find out if these things work now. If you still have problems you
should create a new account and see if this works. If so, get rid of
the old account, it may be defective.
