I was wondering how to let my son have his own account on
windows xp professional but not let him access the local
area network. How do I deny access to the local area
network and internet? Suggestions.

Give yourself an Administrator account and give your son a Limited
account. Before you log off, disable the local area network
connection to block network access. His account won't be able to
enable the connection, but yours will.
