network problem

Hi
I'm tryng to link my two PCs with a Crossover cable.
one of them seems work ok, both of them tell me that the
link is working fine.
The problem is that in one of them i cannot access
my "MSHOME" network.
I recive a message sayng that i'm not allowed to access
it, and to contact the server administrator...
Can anyone help me please?
