I have attempted several times to use system restore.
Each time once the process is completed, it states that
my computer cannot be restored and no changes have been
made to my computer. I have selected many different
dates and points and get the same results. Is there a
problem with system restore or am I doing something
wrong? Thanks for any help you can give me.

It sounds like your restore points are corrupted. If you get the same error
message when trying different restore points you should disable system
restore, reboot then reenable system restore. Be aware this will remove all
previous restore points but if they aren't working it's no loss. I'm not on
a XP system right now but if I remember you disable sytem restore by right
clicking my computer on the desktop then click on the system restore tab.
You will see a box with all your drives listed, make sure it says monitoring
next to each drive. You will see the box to click to disable system restore.
OK your way out then reboot and repeat the process to restart system
restore. When you restart system restore you should check that it works.
Also you need to make sure that you have enough free space on all your
drives or system restore will be suspended.

Hi, I have the same problem, and I have already done what
you suggested and it still doesn't work. Bonnie

If you are looking for a MUCH better restore option, try GoBack program from
www.roxio.com. Much, much better than System Restore (creates backup points
automatically & every few minutes) It is only $29.00 US which is a bargain
for such a good program !!!
