My wife and I are shared registered users, with our own
profiles, under the Windows XP Home Edition, using a Dell
Inspiron laptop with a Pentium III processor.

We also have Earthlink.net connections with individual e-
mail addresses, using the latest version of Earthlink:
Total Access 2004.

We have no problems when I use Earthlink under my own
name. But she is unable to access Earthlink under her
name. Quite often, we receive the following Microsoft
error message No. 691, which reads:

"Either your user account is not registered with the
domain listed, your password is expired, or you mistyped
the information. I you do not specify a domain, the remote
access server attempts to verify your user name and
password on the domain of which it is a member. Carefully
retype your user name, password, and domain. If you are
unsure, contact your system administrator."

We've tried several times to straighten out this with
Earthlink, but its support line says that this is not an
Earthlink problem, but a windows problem.

Can you help me, please? Do I need to reinstall Windows?
