I'm trying to transfer data from my old computer with Win
98 to my new computer with Win XP, using the File and
Settings Transfer Wizard. My problem is this: I can't
get beyond the computers trying to connect to each other--
they just search for 20+ minutes. Thinking my null modem
cable might be defective, I disconnected it from my XP
serial port, with no change in results--they still just
keep searching. Any ideas?
