Windows goes into a scan disk on every reboot.
Where can I turn it off?.
And by doing it, does it mean there is a problem of some kind?
running winxp sp1 home

I looked this up on the net and only found one place that had any helpful
advice. This is what it states at
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinXP/Q_20406026.html
"You may have to upgrade with the SP1 patch. It seems that if chkdsk (the
newer version of scandisk) is run on the drive containing the xp OS, it
could end up in an infinite loop. Supposedly this has been fixed with the
SP1 patch.
Try hitting the F8 key while it is booting and select the option "Last known
good startup" option. A tip on knowing when to hit the F8 key is to place a
non-bootable stiffy disk in the drive before bootup and when it gives the
message on non-system disk, this is the time to use the F8 key."
Before you install the SP1 patch, research the knowledge base at MS
first.... I dont know anything about this patch, but have heard it mentioned
a few times.

Thanks for the help.
Think I'll just wipe it out and start again.
