Good morning everyone :o)
I am in need of a little assistance, pretty please.
My husband and I would like to network our computers together but we cannot
get it to work. He has Win98 SE and I have WinXP HE. Our computers are both
connected to a Linksys hub with 5 ports and the cable modem is hooked up to
the hub. We both have network cards installed. When we both had Win98 SE we
were networked using netbui.... neither of us can figure out how to network
now. I have done the home network wizzard so many times I cant see streight.
I even turned the firewall off thinking that was the problem. Purchasing the
XP Upgrade for him is not an option at this time.

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how we can network? I just
recently purchased XP so I am still a bit unfamiliar with where everything
is.

Any help and all replies are appreciated!
Thanks,
Artemis LittleMoon

Hi, I get similar problem as yours. I use a router to connect the 2
computers and it is only shown that the Win98 computer is connected as a
DHCP client, while not the WinXP computer.
Thus a step by step guide is really appreciated! :)

Be sure you have the same work group name on both computers.
