Mike,
Creating that floppy was the step I had been missing, so you helped me
a great deal by posting those URLs for me! This is so totally different
from how it looked on 98. When I go to my network places on my own
computer, I can see my stuff but not his. How can I view his from my pc?
It looks the same on his pc... all you can see are his shared folders in his
"network neighborhood". Kinda strange cuz I thought my stuff would
be there. *Stumped*

One step further than I was before though, thanks to you!

Thanks,
Artemis LittleMoon

Hi - have you made sure you have at least SOMETHING shared on both machines?
I installed an XP Home machine last week and had a similar problem trying to
find a W2K Pro machine and vice verssa. Ensuring there was something shared
on each machine seemed to "fix" it - buggerred if I know why though!

Hope this helps.

For my case, I've shared something indeed. However, it's still the case ----
the Win98 PC could see itself, but not the WinXP PC; for the WinXP PC, it
could see neither itself nor the Win98 PC.....
Getting into confusion..... #_#
