I just updated to xp on a new computer but it will not let
me download my Microsoft Office 2000 Professional. Anyone ,
can you help me

Do you mean INSTALL it? Downloading would mean you were saving it from a
link on the Internet or an Intranet
If you mean Install, ensure you're logged in as the Administrator..
Incidentally, Error messages go a long way to providing a solution :o)

You can't download Microsoft Office, at least not legally. It's
commercial software, and has to be bought, not downloaded for
free.

I ran into the same problem. My solution was to copy the entire CD content
to my Hard Drive and install it from there.
