I answered your question last night in this same newsgroup. Search
for either your name or the subject of the message. Here is a

Your inability to see chinese has nothing to do with registration. In
Internet Explorer, are you clicking on View then Encoding then More? On many
chinese pages on the Internet you have to manually change over to chinese in
your Internet Explorer, even if you have your computer set for Autoselect.

If you are replying to a specific message please place your reply in
the correct place in the thread. It is difficult enough for
web-based interface users to find replies even if everything is done
correctly. It will appear to the original poster that you replied
to me rather than him or her. That is, if the original poster finds
the reply at all.

I missed replying to part of your message. Microsoft does not
require registration of software. You may be think about activation
which is required. If in fact you meant activation, follow the
instructions below:
To activate Windows with your modem
The Windows Product Activation Wizard is located in System Tools. To
open a system tools item, click Start, point to All Programs, point
to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click the
appropriate icon., then click Activate Windows.
Follow the activation instructions that appear on your screen.
Notes
Alternatively, you can open the Windows Product Activation wizard by
clicking Start, then Run, and type in "oobe/msoobe /a".
Even without Internet service, you can use your modem to activate,
or activate and register, your copy of Windows.
If you choose not to activate now, reminders will appear
periodically during the next 30 days. After that time has expired,
you will be required to activate in order to continue to use
Windows.
If you have not yet activated Windows XP, you can initiate
activation at any time by clicking the Windows Activation icon in
the system tray. Once you have activated Windows XP, this icon
disappears from the system tray.
In addition, once you activate, the shortcut disappears from the
System Tools folder of Accessories.

You do not need to. Open Internet Explorer. Go to tools\Internet
Options\General\languages...click on add and then pick the one
or ones you want to add. Hope that helps.

JoJo, did you try this in Internet Explorer?
Tools>Internet Options> Languages> then click Add to make sure your
languages are shown in the language window. Then go to Tools> Internet
Options> Fonts> Select Language Script and then choose the language you
want.
