I have been on some sites that have left shortcuts on my
desktop. When I try and delete some of these a message
appears saying
Cannot Delete file Access Denied. Make sure that the
disk is not full or write protected and that the file is
not currently in use.
I have shut down all programs but still cannot delete
the shortcut - how do you delete these annoying icons.
Help needed pleeeeeeease!!!
Please e mail if you have the answer
Thanks
Alex

Try the tool FreeFile.exe. It lets you find out which process is
locking a specified file and allow you to free the file by terminating
the locking process.
(The .Net Framework is required to run the tool).
Download FreeFile at:

Hope this helps,
