New Netgear Wireless router has made internet unaccessable

I have just added a new Netgear R614 Wireless router
following the simple conection procedure provided. The
router wan connection is cabled to DSL modem and is
configurable via internal web server at 192.168.0.1 . I was
unable to connect to the host from my DELL PC CNET WL
ethernet adapter. However I was able to use my laptop to
configure the router, on lan as well as wireless. Running
ipconfig on the DELL PC provides what appears to be good
configuration. Default gateway is the new router,
192.168.0.1, and the pc has been assigned dynamic IP
(supplied by router)of 192.168.0.3(or 2) with netmask
155.155.155.0 . I can ping the PC's host address
successfully but can't ping the router default gateway address.
I have removed the router and directly attached to the DSL
modem, but the trouble is unchanged. PC ethernet cable is
direct to DSL router and the MAC addresses are configured
properly for the ISP. Appears that I can't ping outside the
PC. Don't know what I've done, but I would appreciate any
suggestions anyone can provide.

Are you sure the ethernet card or cable are OK.
Maybe update card drivers.
