Internet Explorer Web Proxy not configured seems to be an answer from
the XP Network diagnostics yet I don't have a proxy set up on any
other computer that can access the net.

I tried an office repair this morning and after that lost all contact
to the outside world. When I ping the office I get all responses but
when I ping say yahoo.com I get "192.168.1.1: TTL lost in transit"

Other computers on the router work fine and I rebooted them anyway to
be sure. I even changed my socket in case the cabling was down.

What shoudl I check next?

TCP/IP filtering was turned off for some reason. Turn on/reboot and
bob may even be your aunt.
