XP Garbage

This OS stinks.It's worse than WIN95.Very
undependable.Can't stop internet Pop-Ups.Desktop always
freezes.Programs Freeze.Have 512 Ram 2.54GHz 100GB Hard
drive might as well have 500MGHz computer.Eveerything is
so slow.Wish I had Win2000.Funny that MS's new OS isn't
going to follow XP but more NT technology.Gates What a

That of course is a personal opinion coming from a highly emotional
individual. Calm down and take one thing at a time and when you are through,
you will praise Windows XP based on fact and not emotion.

With my p3-800 386ram 40gig drive pc it's been pretty good compared to
ME. Using Mozilla so no popups. No gator either! Using Eudora so no
Lookout problems. Faster and no lockups, boots up and shuts down
perfectly. Finally the best os since DOS.

Still not a fan of monolopelies, but at least I can get some work done.

Every time I hear this when I go out to fix a machine with a customer that
has problems like this they have D/L'ed "hotbar" and the like. I used Ad
Aware on one last week and found 87 items. Norton A-V had the last update
six months ago, and windows update needed a lot of time and a cable modem.
You know how you have to change oil and such on a car? Well computers are
sorta like that and need updates, and a wash [remove spyware and viruses]
I think quite a few here had a 9x at one time, and if XP was so bad we all
would have gone back.

You mean because they are taking out NTFS and replacing the file system with
something much better?
The slow part may be due to a update from last spring and it did in fact
slow down some machines. They did come up with a better version. [somebody
help me here. was it 811493?]
