View Full Version : PLEASE - WAKE my Screen Up and keep it moving

How do I keep my screen from going black. After my
screen saver has been on for a few minutes the screen goes
black. I have changed all the screen saver settings
to "never" and dis-enabled the hibernation. It doesn't
bother my co-workers, but it drives me crazy. I would like
for the screen saver to continue to show until I use my
computer again or turn it off. In fact I don't even care
if the screen saver doesn't come on - just leave my
desktop showing all day. I would appreciate any
suggestions.

Hi, Linda,
Something to try,
Deliberately set your screen saver to Blank, click Apply and OK.
Then REBOOT.
After Windows desktop re-opens, go back and choose the screen saver you
want, set your timer for 15 minutes, click display button, click Display
settings, select Automatic, click OK, OK, click Apply and OK.
Then REBOOT again.
This kind of gives it a kick start.

Hi ya
Just another suggestion, go into control panel : Power Options: check that
your monitor is not set to turn off after a certain time set it to
never.Just a thought.

To "fix" the problem, right click on the desktop and choose properties.
Click on the Screen Saver box.
Near the bottom right click on Power.
Under power schemes choose to NEVER turn off monitor.
Most monitors have this power saving option.
I also set system standby to never.
