I have two systems, one Win98 one WinXPPro connected to a switch which
is connected to a wireless bridge on one side. On the other side of
the wireless network is a wireless router with internet access. On the
bridge side I use static IP addresses (all systems are the same
(sub)net 192.168.0.xxx) and dynamic addresses elsewhere. I can ping,
connect to, and have internet access to all systems (PC, router, and
bridege) on both sides of the bridge with the Win98 machine (manually)
configured. Yet on the XP-Pro side. I can ONLY PING systems on the
same side (bridge side) of the network. I cannot connect to ANYTHING
on the bridge side with the Win XP-Pro machine via the browser,
despite having the gateway, DNS server, network name, and everything
else set identically to what the win98 settings are, despite the fact
that the Win98 machine works just fine.

Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on with WIn Xp-PRO? How can
I configure this darn thing to work without having to wipe everything
out and start from scratch.
