My SOHO network uses ICS running on an XP Home PC sharing
an ISDN dial-up connection. When I have my XP Pro
notebook connected to the LAN, it somehow causes the XP
Home PC to stay connected to the internet -- that is as
soon as I log on to the the notebook, it connects. If I
disconnect manually, it soon reconnects. Outlook is set
to not automatically check email and I've killed all
services I can think of that might be doing this
including Windows autoupdate, etc. How can I monitor the
connection or network to determine what app is doing this?
