I have networked two boxes at home, one running XP Pro, the other one 98.
Both have standard NIC's and connect to the Internet thru a minihub. For
security reasons, I decided to use NetBEUI protocol instead of TCP IP, so I
would make sure my files are not accessible thru the Internet. The whole
setup works, but it takes forever to access or copy a file between machines.
XP network performance indicator shows that the transfer rate throughput
never goes above 2% of the 10Mbps limit.
I have checked things and everything seems to be ok. Any suggestions?
thnx in advance
