When my welcome screen comes on it doesn't list any of
the user accounts - even the computer administrator. I
have to push ctrl-alt-del twice and then an old style
password box pops up. Then I click on o.k. or press
enter, without even typing in a password, and then I'm
logged on. How can I fix this?

Do you have TweakUI for XP installed? (XP PowerToys at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp)

If so, you or someone may have disabled all the users from appearing on
the Welcome Screen. Check the Logon item. Normally if you have other
accounts, the Administrator account does not appear on the Welcome
Screen. Save Administrator for emergencies when your day-to-day system
admin account gets hosed. Make everyone else a Limited Account.
