The web browswer at times defaults to another page other
than my current home one. This happens at random for
some unknown reason to me. I have cleaned out the temp,
cookies and cache files but still the problem persists.
Im using Windows XP Home.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

If the feature is disabled (greyed out), this script will help:
