How do I fake my computer into thinking it has a 3 1/2
floppy drive when it doesn't? My computer is running XP
home and won't boot without a floppy drive. I want to put
a Zip Drive where the floppy is. Both of my other IDE
controllers are already full. Any help would be
appreciated. I would rather have a 100mb floppy instead of
a 1.44 mb

Open the computer's BIOS and make a setting adjustment for
your ZIP drive.

If you intend on putting the zip in the same location as your floppy, that's
no problem. But you say your IDE controllers are full. In that case, you
have nowhere to plug the zip drive in.

Do you know if there are any zip drives that plug into the
floppy connector on the motherboard?
