I am currently using win 98SE and will be adding XP on a
dual boot until I get comfortable with XP. My questions
is, all the programs, settings, and games currently loaded
under 98, will they transfer okay? I am sure there will be
sokme leg work on my part, but I don't want it to turn
into a nightmare. It is my understanding that XP handles
this a lot better. Please respond with urgency as I asm
approaching this soon. Thank you so much in advance.

Before loading XP, run the upgrade advisor to (on the disk) to check for
hardware compatibility problems. Doing that will save a lot of grief. Some
of your programs will be compatible, some may not; however XP allows you to
run some programs in "compatiblity mode" as though they were operating with
a previous OS.
