I spent an hour the other night with the tech folks at
Compaq trying to figure out how I can use a crossover
patch cable to link my two computers together so that I
can transfer some files from my old 98 machine to my new
xp home notebook. No luck - neither machine sees the
other across the connection. Anyone know where I might
find step by step instructions for doing this? (If you
