View Full Version : Downloadable list of Microsoft support bulletin titles?

My new computer with XP arrives early next week, so I'm sure I'll be
back with plenty of questions. In the meantime, I've been watching
this newsgroup for the last week or so, and collecting messages that
look potentially helpful.
Could someone kindly provide an URL where I might download a list of
Microsoft Support Bulletins, or at least the ones pertinent to XP?
Also, several years ago I would email for some
individual bulletins to be sent to me (one per email), but I've
forgotten how and where the numbers were designated, in the body or
subject area of the message. Does this still work?
Thank you.

A better alternative is to use the KBAlertz website. You can view all of the
XP associated MSKB articles on one page or search for particular articles.
They also have a service that notifies you when a new KB article is
published or updated for XP or any other MS product.

Thank you. The site looks very useful and I've subscribed to some of
their bulletins. However, I really would like a downloadable list of
support titles..

I'm not aware of any downloadable list of all the KB articles for any
particular windows platform.
On the KBAlertz website, you can select All Kb! from the top menu, scroll
down and select Windows XP, On the next page select the "Got a lot of
bandwidth and want to see all of the Kb Articles by their titles only? Click
Here! " link. This will give you one page with all of the articles on XP.
Click File / Save As and save as type "Web Archive, Single file (*.mht)".
This will give you a single page with all of the articles for XP as active
links. This is about as close as you can get to a single document with all
of the articles.
Remember the MSKB is a very dynamic list and articles are updated and
changed on a frequent basis.

Since I have a slow and erratic dial-up connection, I guess that lets
me out. Used to be that a zipped list would be approx. 500K (circa
1999-ish). Thank you for your reply.

Maureen, go to the link I supplied above this post, that will get you to =
where you want to be on the MS sites relating to XP. It's like an MS =

Thanks for your response.
Some four years ago I'd go through the list of titles and email mshelp
with the number for ones I wanted sent to me - I think it was just a
matter of designating, say, 131325 in the subject line . I don't have
an unlimited time account, and it would be handy to be able to have a
searchable list rather than spending a lot of time fishing at
Microsoft as the first resort. If the list has become too big, then I
guess that's that.
Perhaps someone could tell me if during the fishing expeditions,
there's a way to email the bulletins to myself. I've clicked on send
with my current machine, and the only result is that the window for
Pegasus shrinks.
