Hi All

I've been playing with an XP Pro system and don't seam to
be able to do the following that I could do in Win2K Pro

connect to a share in the AD via \\domain.name\share

Now as I said this workes via Win2k Pro with out any
problem but under XP all I can get to work are the
following

\\server.domain.name\share
\\server\share
\\192.168.0.1\share

It has gotten me stuffed. I'm using a SBS2k SP4 DC with
all windows updates and a WinXP Pro SP1 with all windows
updates.

Any help would be good.

Generally file sharing occurs when you put a \\hostname\share not
\\domain\share

Unless you have file shares published in AD and are advertising them in a
way to be exposed in a container vs. a host resource method (ala: Netware
Trees) then generally this is not possible irrespective of W2k or XP
