When adding XP as a dual boot to 98se, will it take on all
the settings already put forth in 98? TIA.

WinXP doesn't automatically pick up settings from Win98SE. However, you can
use the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard of XP to transfer the settings from
98SE to XP. For more info,

Greetings --
No, of course not. A dual-boot configuration means that you have
two completely independent operating system on a single PC. Ideally,
one OS should not even be "aware" of the other's presence, except
during the initial boot process.
If you want your Win98 "settings" to apply to WinXP, you'll have
to perform an upgrade, replacing Win98 with WinXP. And even then,
only those Win98 "settings" that have a counterpart in WinXP will be
"translated."
