Thanks for that info, but that doesn't tell me anything
about the existing programs on my machine like games and
such. Anyone have any info on that? Will I have to
reinstall all those programs or simply upgrade the drivers
or what? Keep in mind that this will initially be a dual
boot with 98se and xp for a little while until my comfort
level rises with xp. Thanks.

Everything that you want to run in XP will need to be installed in XP. =
There are registry entries that need to be there for XP to recognize and =
open the program.
