Logging off user

Please help. I have written many newsgroups.Is it a
glitch in my computer? I have written before. When I log
off a limited account, my computer goes into what looks
like hibernation and I cant log on to another account
even though I am still logged on as the
administrater.Right now i have to switch users and then
log the user off with task manager. Any suggestions on
how to log off an account and log on another without
switching? Any ideas would be a help. Thank you,
