Can someone tell me how to use the winpop feature. We
use it at work and it allows us to send a pop up window
with a message in it to others on the network.

open a command prompt window, and type:

net send computername message

(replace computername with the computer's name or ip address, and message with
your message). Windows XP doesn't come with a program like winpopup, but this
does the same thing.

WinNT/2k/XP has "messenger service" to receive, "net send" command to
send.

If you need GUI-based winpopup in xp, you can download a lot of
replacers.
Popuplar freeware is realpopup, http://www.realpopup.it. It has some
additional features (browser, hyperlink).
I'm using bassline winpopup with file attachment and better text
format, http://basslinesoft.com
