transferring from ME to XP

I've just bought a new PC, which came with XP installed.
At first I thought 'this is great, lots of new things to
learn'. However, now that I'm getting to grips with it, I
find that when I transfer files and documents from my old
PC (ME version), a lot of things will no longer open, such
as Excel, Powerpoint and worst of all, all of my original
WORD documents that have wordart included,no longer show
the wordart. Is there some sort of free software that I
can download that will convert everything for me? If not,
how can I uninstal XP and load ME instead?
I hope someone can help, I am desperate!!!!!!!!!

Did your PC come pre-installed with those Office Apps you mention that =
you had with ME? If your XP PC doesn't have those apps installed, then =
you won't have the ability to view the file(s) you mention. Did you get =
Office disks for your XP PC? Do you have the Office disks that came/or =
had with your ME PC?

You probably could uninstall XP (by formatting), but you will lose any =
warranty on that PC.

Apparently Microsoft Office was included on your computer with Windows ME.
You will have to install the same (or an equivalent) on your new computer to
access, and work with, those files.
