Email Error

[Teresa Peereboom]

whenever I open email I get the following. The host "step.talus.net" could
not be found. Please verify you have entered the sever name correctly. Can
someone please refresh my memory as to where I locate all the information,
as there is an error in the server name. .

Teresa,

your mail provider can tell you the correct name of the servers for
in- and outbound mails. As a blind guess - should the name maybe read
"smtp.talus.net" ?

email servers are usually named something like smtp.talus.net. Not
step.talus.net. Is that the problem?

Outlook Express > Tools > Accounts > Mail Tab > Click the talus.net account
> Properties > Servers Tab

Change step to to smtp

OK out then maybe you should restart Outlook Express.

Dan got there first ... you should not need to restart OE, it will
work with the new server immediately.
