crauto.exe

Hi can anybody tell me what the prog crauto.exe is? or
does?

I have XP pro

this .exe is sitting in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS
it is the only exe in there and when you do a properties
on it you get no details.

The reason for asking is after 5 wonderful months of a
great system I am now getting lot of issues and I am
trying to chase down what is happening.

Hi,

I can find no listing anywhere of a file with that name - this in itself
makes it suspicious. Have you ran an updated antivirus scan lately?

Right-click the file, select rename and give it a .old extension. Then
reboot. Is there any error message? Does it allow the renaming?

If you hit ctrl+shift+escape, does it show in running tasks?

Start/run msinfo32, expand the software environment, click on the startup
programs. Anything here leading to it, or to a program you do not recognize?
