It is exceedingly frustrating to find things that dont
work properly and then have Micrsosoft have the audcity ti
charge a small fortune just to answer one question on the
phone - when in my estimation many many questions have to
be asked about computer software problems.

Also these Newsgroups dont work as the probability of
someone have your exact problem on or about the dsame tiem
AND looking at a Newsgroup is about ZERO. I have posted
several questions and had no responses.

And with remarks like that, those that could help you probably won't now...

If you would bother to read some posts, you will see that most peoples
questions ARE answered. If yours isn't answered for awhile, remember that
these are PEER support groups and the person who knows the answer may not be
around at the moment... Most of us do have a life you know...

If you don't get an answer in a reasonable time (at least a couple of days),
the try posting it again... You could also try searching the newsgroup for
similar problems. Also, there is the Microsoft knowledgebase at
http://msdn.microsoft.com and and massive wealth of technical articles can
be found with www.google.com.

As for MS charging for support. You get 1 free call, then you pay... MS are
not the only people who do this.

Grant;
Look around.
It does not require someone with the same problem or even a similar
problem.
All it takes is someone that is familiar with the causes of a specific
type of problem.
These are peer to peer support groups, no one is paid, everyone that
answers a question does so at their own time and expense.
I see nothing from you in the last 3 weeks in this newsgroup.

Do you have Retail Windows XP?
If so you likely have 2 free support incidents.
If you have OEM Windows XP, you get no support from Microsoft, however
all support, if any, comes from the seller.

Were your other posts as detailed about your specific issue as this
post?

An easier way to read newsgroup messages:

Please respond to newsgroup only for everyone's benefit.

Some people don't know you have to click on the + to get
to the answers.

You're not worth paying.

Anyone who takes your ****ed up "advise" does so at their own risk.
