I am trying to set up a home wireless peer to peer
network between two PC's both running XP Home and have
experienced some problems.

the aim of the home network is:
to enable file sharing
Internet Connection Sharing

I am unable to get the two PC's to recognise each other
in the network despite the fact that the in the Wirelss
network properties, the network is showing on both
computers.

I would be grateful for any help offered

kind regards,

Jon

One thing at a time...first make sure that you can connect with a wired
connection if you have the cards. When that's working try the wireless.
Or atleast set up a wireless connection to a router to make sure that your
wireless setup works at all.

Also if your wireless cards are not WPA capable, remove hotfix 826942 from
your machines, which may be a problem. If you want to keep that hotfix,
upgrade your firmware for the wireless cards to a WPA capable one.
