Hello. I was finally able to get a desktop (XP Pro) and a wireless laptop
(XP Pro) seeing each other and sharing files and a printer.

The problem is, I have no broadband, only a dial-up connection. I do not
understand the interaction with IPs that take place when you enable ICS on
the desktop. I realize the IP for the Router will have to be changed, but I
am not sure how to proceed.

I would appreciate any assistance as I do not want to screw up what is
finally working.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I had the same problem. I could not figure out how to change
the routers ip address. I even called Linksys tech support ( or lack of ). I
think they was more confused than I was.
In any event I had to return my Linksys and got a DLink router. In about 10
minutes I had it up and running.

If you do figure it out let me know for my own curiosity

Have you guys tried 'MAC Address Cloaining'? This would ba either a menu
item or a setup option on the router's setup.
