View Full Version : Windows XP SP2 Beta Internet Connection Slow

Hi NG,

I downloaded die SP2 Beta from MSDN and installed all Windows updates I got
over automatic updating.
But Internet connection is very slow, requesting a web page takes 8x time
than on my SP1 machine (requesting Google takes 7 seconds and I'm using
DSL...).
Pinging does only work in the local network, but not to Internet servers.
After working some hours with my SP2 machine the Internet connection is
completely lost and I can just reboot to get it up again.
Windows Firewall is turned off, also no 3rd party firewall is installed.

I'm using a Windows Server 2003 for connecting to the internet (Routing and
RAS service).

Is this a bug or a configuration problem?

Regards,
Mark

You should report this to the XP SP2 Beta newsgroup. Check MSDN for details
