View Full Version : Can't burn a cd

Linda

Using Windows XP Home, and the Easy CD Creator 5 basic that came with
computer.
I can not save anything to a cd anymore. I've tried both the CD-R and CD-RW
discs. Even tried different brands. Tried data and music both. The program
shows that it's writing, and recording, and even tells me that it was
succesful. But when I go to check the new disc out....it's blank. No mb's
have been used on it.
Anyone have an idea what the problem might be? TIA.

If not already done, you could try downloading & installing Easy CD
Creator V5.3.5 from www.roxio.com Otherwise, suggest you try the
discussion forums at Roxio.

linda,

if your cd burner is more than two years old, maybe it looks to be replaced
already.

Hi Linda,

Have you tried a CD lens cleaner yet? Any commercial one will do, it doesn't
have to be pc-specific.

Thank you Harry. I downloaded the file, and tried to install, got a message
that it could not be installed whenever there has already been an SP1
installed. So, guess that was not my problem either. Thank you for your
input. I appreciate it.
