Hi,

In a file the properties are set to use jpegs with
internet explorer - but the files default to type 'Corel
photo paint'. For an application we are running they must
be plain jpeg 'type'. We have removed Corel and all
referneces in the registry, but still our jpegs are
type'Corel Photo Paint. Anyone know how to get them back
to 'normal' jpegs. We've tried the usual prescribed
method but Windows XP ignores this.

Any help appreciated!

Hi Nick,

When you said you have tried the usual prescribed menthod but XP ignores it,
which method would that be?

Have you tried the following?

Start - My Computer - Tools - Folder Options - File Types tab.
Select each file extension (jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp, etc) and where it says Open
With, click Change.
Select the program you would like to use.
Click Ok

Thx,
Nico
